About the workshop

Publishing is a vital part of the research process for sharing your results and fulfilling obligations to funders and the public. For PhD candidates, publishing the outcomes of their research is often considered a key deliverable and condition for obtaining a PhD.

For early-career scientists, the world of scientific publishing is new and can feel unfamiliar. What are the rules? What is and what is not allowed?  This one-day workshop will provide you with insight into the publishing process, the ethical considerations and the practical strategies you can use to successfully share your research with the scientific community. You will gain insights into the ever-changing world of scientific publishing while learning how to maintain scientific creativity and uphold scientific integrity. You’ll also learn to create more impact by structuring your text effectively and crafting a strong summary and title.

Target group: WUR PhDs and postdocs
